Terms

Les documents juridiques sont pour l’instant disponibles uniquement en anglais. Des versions localisées seront publiées après validation juridique.

Last updated: 2026-04-27. By downloading the Kompas desktop application or subscribing to Kompas Pro, you agree to these terms with ByteBridge Co., Ltd. ("Kompas").

1. License. The desktop application is open source under the MIT license; you may use, copy, and modify it under that license. The Kompas Pro cloud service, including the hosted backend, billing logic, and frontier-AI gateway, is proprietary and licensed only as a subscription.

2. Account and subscription. Pro requires an account and a paid subscription. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

3. Acceptable use. Do not use Kompas to violate the rights of others, transmit unlawful content, or attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or circumvent security controls of the cloud service. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated violations.

4. Service availability. Pro is provided on a commercially reasonable best-effort basis. Planned maintenance and material changes — including pricing, included usage limits, and platform availability — are versioned and announced in advance whenever practical.

5. Disclaimers. Kompas is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. AI outputs may be inaccurate; you are responsible for reviewing them before relying on them. Keep independent backups of important work.

6. Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by law, Kompas is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits, or revenue. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Termination. You may stop using the desktop application at any time and cancel Pro from your billing settings. We may terminate or suspend Pro for breach of these terms or for legal reasons, with reasonable notice where possible.

8. Governing law and disputes. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply. The competent court is the Seoul Central District Court, unless local law provides otherwise.

9. Changes. Material changes are versioned and announced; continued use of Kompas after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
